Catherine Davies appointed as new DHC director

The Digital Healthcare Council (DHC) today announces that Catherine Davies has been appointed as Director. Catherine replaces Graham Kendall, who has served as Director of the DHC since 2019.

Catherine has held senior regulatory positions in the health sector in England for almost a decade, including serving as Executive Director of Cooperation and Competition at Monitor and Trustee at both National Voices and Reform. Most recently, Catherine has been Managing Partner at Monticle, advising digital health companies on how to partner with the NHS at scale as well as advocating for an environment that is conducive to scaling innovation in a publicly funded healthcare system. She also hosts the Women in Healthtech Show podcast.

As new Director, Catherine will lead the DHC, allowing us to build on our work to date to expand its reach and provide support and counsel to members. Catherine’s appointment will also allow the DHC to expand its offer to more digital providers across health and social care.

Commenting on the appointment, Catherine Davies said:

“I am delighted to join the DHC as director and look forward to working with existing and new members, helping to unlock the potential of digital for the benefit of patients, service users and staff.

This is an exciting time for digital health and social care. The government’s new Plan for Digital Health and Social Care is a welcome signal of ambition, and we look forward to making our contribution to a thriving digital health ecosystem.”
